What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.12
──> Enhancements!
BOOT'R Version 2.12 contains several new enhancements, with most
of the changes being made to BOOT'R's button menu. (Users who are
unfamiliar with the BOOT'R button menu should just type "BOOTR"
from a DOS prompt.) A screen blanker has been added to the button
menu to automatically prevent the screen from "burning in". The
default screen blanker interval is 3 minutes. The screen blanker
settings can be changed from the BOOT'R Editor's "Defaults"
screen. Other enhancements include hot-key assignments on the
button menu, and a new "F3" to edit the file named on the
currently selected button. Minor changes have been made in the
BOOT'R Editor, as well. For a complete list of changes, please
read the files BOOTR.REV and BOOTRED.REV.

What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.10

Version 2.10 of BOOT'R contains a new, mouseable editor. Features
include easy cut, copy, and paste, with complete mouse support!
An online reference for the AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, and NET.CFG
files is also included! The editor uses an MDI (multiple document
interface) allowing you to edit all of the files at the same time.
The new editor still provides support for easy importing and
loading of existing files. Monochrome support is built-in.
What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.05
──> ASP Compliance!
Version 2.05 of BOOT'R is now ASP compliant! STSI is a new author
member of the Association of Shareware Professionals!
What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.04
──> Maintenance Release
Version 2.04 of BOOT'R is a maintenance release. A problem has
been fixed where literal tab characters (#9) were not being
converted to spaces when a file was loaded or imported into the
editor. A new Tab-To-Space Conversion setting has been added to
instruct BOOT'R how many spaces should be used to replace a tab
character when a tab character is encountered.

major fix to the INSTALL.EXE program distributed with BOOT'R in

making the Install program virtually unusable. This problem has
been fixed.
What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.02
──> Maintenance Release
Version 2.02 of BOOT'R is a maintenance release. Several issues
were addressed, including the BOOTRED.EXE stripping out leading
spaces from a .BTR file when reading it, and BOOTR.EXE stripping
out leading spaces when writing a configuration file. A complete
list of changes and fixes can be found in the files BOOTR.REV and
BOOTRED.REV.
What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.01
──> Maintenance Release
BOOTRED.EXE had a minor bug in the help system that did not always
allow a user to switch to a topic when viewing the topic index.
This problem has been fixed.
What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.00
──> Major Release!
BOOTR.EXE has been completely rewritten in a new programming
language to address problems that were inherent in the previous
programming language used to write BOOT'R. Among problems
addressed were the truncation of lines longer than 121 characters
when writing a configuration file and incorrect writing of DOS
environment variables such as %PATH% or %USER%.
BOOTRED.EXE has also been completely rewritten in a new
programming language. Both BOOTR.EXE and BOOTRED.EXE are now much
faster and easier to use than before! (A complete list of
revisions can be found in the two files BOOTR.REV and
BOOTRED.REV.)
What's New in BOOT'R Version 1.11
──> BOOT'R Editor Fixes.
Several problem areas from version 1.10 have been fixed in this
release. (A complete list of fixes and enhancements can be found
in the two files BOOTR.REV and BOOTRED.REV.)

the file BOOTR.INI and all .BTR files fast and easy! This new
editor allows users quick access to their configuration files, and
automatically allows up to five files to be edited for each
configuration.
──> Changed Configuration Extensions From .INI to .BTR.
To avoid potential conflicts with other pieces of software, the
BOOT'R configuration files have had their extensions changed from
.INI to .BTR. (The BOOT'R system defaults file is still called
BOOTR.INI.)
──> New BOOT'R Prelog Screen!
The BOOT'R prelog screen has been re-designed! The new format is
more visually appealing, and provides more information than
before. Users can now see the program version and copyright

the configuration being initialized, and the filenames of the
files being written.
